The Unwanted were a short lived (1982-1985) Canadian Hardcore Punk band from Winnipeg. The band appeared on the well known 80s Punk comp ā€œSomething to Believe Inā€ (1984) released on popular Southern California Punk label BYO Records. The band released one LP before breaking up, the record was released on BYO/Head Butt Records and the were label mates with such well known 80s Canadian punk outfits Stretch Marks and Some Weird Sin. Bassist Ken Fleming was also a later member of popular Canadian band SNFU.

The PNV LP features the first ever reissue of their 1983 self-released demo tape ā€œIn Case of Emergency Kick Ass, this will be the first time this is available on vinyl.
