Jeffrey Ladd was born in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania in 1968. His earliest photographs, made while studying at The School of Visual Arts in NYC in the 1980s, describe the HC and punk scenes of New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, and New Jersey. His photographs have been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, and the Museum of the City of New York, among others. He is the author of The Awful German Language (Spector Books, 2020) and A Field Measure Survey of American Architecture (Mack, 2021). Based in Europe since 2011, he continues to work on various photographic projects including one currently on the underground music and skateboard scene of Kƶln, Germany.Ā
