Morbikon: Lost Within the Astral Crypts 12"
MORBIKON, is the creative effort of guitarist/bassist Phil âLand Philâ Hall of Municipal Waste (Cannabis Corpse, Iron Reagan). The project is guided by the second wave of Scandinaviaâs black metal and melodic death metal scenes of the â90s.
Phil writes the music and plays bass/guitar in the studio (and bass live) alongside a power house of sick underground metal musicians including Mathias âVrethâ LillmĂ„ns (Finntroll, âŠAnd Oceans) on vocals.
âThis album feels like some of my darkest material yet. I filled these songs to the brim with atmosphere and riffs. There are moments during the album that truly feel soaked in classic 90s underground blasphemy.â - Phil Hall
Not just a studio project, Morbikon spent 6 weeks on the road promoting their debut album âOv Mournful Twilightâ (2022) along side internationally notable extreme metal acts Exhumed and Skeletal Remains. Morbikon also crushed performances at The Decibel Magazine Beer and Metal Fest (in both Philadelphia and Denver) and the Milwaukee Metal Fest.
