Black Uniforms: Splatter Punx On Acid 12"

BLACK UNIFORMS are one of the most cult bands from an already-cult scene. Originally active from 1981-1983 and then from 1986 until the beginning of the '90s, BLACK UNIFORMS hailed from the Swedish hardcore punk scene, which sprung up in the wake of Discharge's landmark Why? and then took on a life of its own, often out-Discharging Discharge and successively becoming its own influential paradigm that still endures to this day. As such, BLACK UNIFORMS early on bore the distinct mark of Discharge, but particularly during their second run, just like many hardcore-punk bands the world over, they took on a thrashier aspect that many of the original UK82 bands helped jumpstart - namely The Exploited, English Dogs, and especially Broken Bones. Retroactively, BLACK UNIFORMS are most renown for the membership of one Cliff Lundberg, who played bass for Moderat Likvidation during the former's first hiatus but more so as guitarist for Anti-Cimex's massively influential second period before then going on to form the legendary DrillerĀ Killer.
